Incredibly easy recipe for quick and tasty bagels with extra protein. I’m sure it’s not like the New Yorkers make/like them but it’s done in a jiffy and still very yummy!
Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cup full fat Greek yoghurt
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt (can be smoked sea salt)
1 egg for eggwash
Your seasoning of choice
Directions:
Mix it all together, it will be very sticky.
Split up the dough into 4 equal parts.
Make a ball out of each part, flatten it a bit and punch a circle through it.
Stir egg and apply to bagel.
Season with your favorite seasoning, I used everything bagel, sesame and sea salt/rosemary in the picture.
Bake at 350F for 30 minutes
Note that my bagels blew up a bit, they were super yummy but I think I should have measured the baking powder next time.
