Homemade Butter

super easy recipe that allows you to add in your own seasoning if desired

Ingredients:
1gt/pint heavy whipping cream
2 tsp Maldon smoked sea salt

Directions:
Add cream to stand mixer with wire whip
Mix at low for 2-3 minutes
Mix at medium/high until you see the texture changing
Keep mixing until it truly separates, you will get buttermilk and butter.
It gets messy at the end so cover up your mixer with a dish towel once you start hearing the separation take place. You can easily tell, if unsure, it’s not done yet.
Take the butter out of the liquid, try to squeeze the last liquid out.
Mix in your seasoning, I really like the smoked sea salt.
Store it in an airtight container, you can keep it in the fridge or at room temp.
